First day of the HEA Arts & Humanities Conference was not that scary at all – rather it certainly got the mind racing hearing about all the innovative and exciting work by colleagues across the sector. My presentation ‘Zombie Alert! Re-engaging students in collaborative activities by embedding learning technologies in the curriculum’ was really well received. I discussed the impact of new ways of learning through collaboration and reflection among students, students and staff, and staff teams as a result of embedding learning technologies in the curriculum. For many new technologies can initiate fear and dread. The ‘Re-enact’ project, which had received funding from the HEA Changing the Learning Landscape (CLL) Professional Development Fund, aimed to conquer these demons or at least provide the tools to defeat them.
